This week saw the release of some Bollywood films just one week before big Eid release Tubelight. Normally this release period is considered dull and the poor opening of new films prove so.
Bank Chor has a poor opening day of around 1.40 crore. Though the start is better than Riteish Deshmukh’s last two releases. Acc. to the reports Bank chor released across 700 screens.
Riteish Deshmukh and Vivek Oberoi starrer has recorded up to 10% occupancy in the morning shows. However, the film has already recovered 75 per cent of its investment, according to Koimoi. Bank Chor faces tough competition from films like Despicable Me 3, Cars 3 and Diljit Dosanjh’s Super Singh.
Released on June 16, 2017, the film was in news for its innovative and interesting marketing campaigns. Directed by Bumpy (Luv Ka The End), the film stars Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, Rhea Chakraborty, Vikram Thapa, Bhuvan Arora, Sahil Vaid and Baba Sehgal, among others.
