Bowlers sending off batsmen in their classy and unique style has quite been popular in the gentlemen’s game for years. While some look amazing, few appear real hilarious.
West Indian seamer Kesrick Williams was one of those who carried on the trend on Sunday evening after sending Indian captain Virat Kohli back to the pavilion during the one-off T20 International in Jamaica.
Starting afresh right after his ravishing century in the last ODI match, Virat Kohli had looked up and rolling as India were off to a blazing start. He stood at 29 runs off 19 deliveries when Kesrick had once again returned to attack for the final over of the powerplay.
Virat might have different strategy in his mind at the time of walking down the pitch for a short delivery over the boundary rope but Kesrick Williams nailed it by bowling a slower short delivery that Virat couldn’t get and consequently, Narine got an easy catch. What Williams did next stole the show!
Williams and West Indies were cock-a-hoop as they were finally able to see the back of Virat Kohli. After the dismissal, Williams came up with a rather innovative mode of celebration. He made a gesture to his hand as is if he rubbed off Kohli’s name of it and then pocketed him.
