1255

It’s 2029. Mutants are gone–or very nearly so. An isolated, despondent Logan is drinking his days away in a hideout on a remote stretch of the Mexican border, picking up petty cash as a driver for hire. His companions in exile are the outcast Caliban and an ailing Professor X, whose singular mind is plagued by worsening seizures. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy abruptly end when a mysterious woman appears with an urgent request–that Logan shepherd an extraordinary young girl to safety. Soon, the claws come out as Logan must face off against dark forces and a villain from his own past on a live-or-die mission, one that will set the time-worn warrior on a path toward fulfilling his destiny.

LOGAN movie review

The latest installation of X-Men was premiered at 67th Berlin International Film Festival on February 17, 2017 & the reviews were so rave that we already can’t wait anymore. Finally it’s out in India and it seems this movie is going to make the records. This sequel featuring Hugh Jackman aka Wolverine as a protagonist seems more like an Oscar movie. However, what it actually delivers commercially is yet to see.

Brian Truitt USA Today (3.5/5)

Easily the best Wolverine outing, Logan is The Dark Knight of the mutant-filled X-franchise, a gripping film that transcends the comic-book genre by saying something important.

Stephen Whitt of Newark Star-Ledger (3/5)

Well done, Mr. Jackman, and Godspeed Wolverine. We’re sorry to say goodbye to our bare-knuckled friend – but you’ve both earned the rest.

Stephanie Zacharek of Time Magazine (5/5)

In a world this aggressively gritty, it’s never a surprise when anyone kicks the bucket. The issue isn’t that they die, but that their deaths carry surprisingly little weight.

Ign.com (4.5/5)

Logan is in many ways an emotional, heavy picture, but it’s also an uplifting one that reminds us that it’s okay to fight for something more, something better. It’s an amazing swan song for the Wolverine character, and for Jackman, and perhaps the best X-Men movie yet.

IMDb User review (9.6/10)

Logan is easily the best Marvel movie ever and almost as good as the Dark Knight. I had a chance to see the premiere. The movie is just over 2 hours. The first 45 minutes and the last 45 minutes are the best part of this film. I have never seen a superhero movie like this. It’s brutal to its core. I have a request to Marvel & Fox. Please retire Wolverine character because no one could portray it with this much perfection as Hugh Jackman. This is easily my second favorite movie of this genre, and I might change my opinion on repeated viewings, but probably not. Congrats for Fox to reviving their X-men universe after the Apocalypse mess. X-23 actress is gonna be a big star in the future. Oh man, she’s awesome. And this is Patrick Stewart best performance till date. The villain character was also good, unlike other Marvel movies. Hope MCU will learn from this and make a good R rated movie. DCEU also have a lesson or two to learn from Logan about making a dark and gritty film. Overall, I would rate this movie as the second best movie ever in its genre with almost no negatives.
