Every year a ton of phones come out with similar features and designs. But, Every once in a while, one comes out of nowhere that stands out for a great idea, unique style, or utter extravagance.
Chinese smartphone-maker Protruly’s handset Darling is one such device. The smartphone, which was revealed late last year, turned heads when it was showcased at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) last week due to it’s unorthodox long shape and ability to capture virtual reality (VR) video.
The Darling packs in two identical 13MP cameras on its front and back to allow users to take 360-degree photos and videos from the smartphone and share them through YouTube and Facebook — sites that support 360-degree viewable media. The Darling Extreme comes in an ostentatious gold coloured shell, leather accents with a strip of four diamonds running across on the front. Yes, real diamonds!
Here’s the full feature of this Darling.

China Daily quotes a price of US $1,300 for the diamond-studded model, while the slightly cheaper version goes for as low as US $500. This Darling is cheaper then Iphone7.
