Rajinikanth’s new film 2.0, believed to be India’s most expensive yet, is still months from release but it’s already recouped a quarter of its reported budget of Rs 450 crore. The satellite rights to Zee for a whopping amount of Rs 110 crore. This includes all the languages like Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. While Baahubali: The Conclusion, sold its satellite rights for approximately Rs 350 crores! That’s quite an expensive deal.

Thalaiva is leaving no stone unturned to make it a grand affair. In fact, the superstar spend more than a crore to launch the first look of the film. The audience had to wear 3D glasses to get a glimpse of the first look of the film. Sreedhar Pillai took to Twitter to announce the news. 2.0 is one of Rajinikanth and Shankar’s most ambitious projects and the team is doing everything to make it grand.
There are two Oscar-winners attached to 2.0 – A R Rahman is providing the musical score and Resul Pookutty is in charge of sound design.
2.0 , It is a sequel to 2010 blockbuster Enthiran, which released in Hindi as Robot, and stars Rajinikanth is the double role of Chitti the Robot and Dr Vaseegaran.
Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar’s 2.0 is set to release on 18 October 2017 and fans are really excited about this deal. Twitter is pouring with excitement and Thalaiva fans are on cloud nine.
