Salman Khan’s big Eid release Tubelight might have been unable to break the box-office records set by his previous films, but Kabir Khan’s directorial venture is slowly inching towards the Rs 100-crore mark. After crossing the Rs 60-crore mark in its opening weekend, the film saw a slump at the box office on Eid.
Tubelight collected only Rs 19.09 crore on Monday, taking the total to Rs 83.86 crore.

The film minted 19.09 crores on Monday i.e. the 4th day. If it was a normal Monday, the figure was good, but this time, it was Eid holiday. The 4th day figure should have been more than 25 crores, but sadly, that didn’t happen. With this, the total has reached 83.86 crores. It’s almost nearing the 100 crores club now.
But Tubelight’s biggest Advantage is that there is no competition from past, present or future. It arrived solo, there was no holdover release from the past that was running and there is no biggie to compete with in the coming week either. This means the arena is wide open for Salman Khan and his Tubelight to still shine on in week to come.
