On World Environment Day, Salman Khan announced the launch of his own range of cycles, under the brand ‘Being Human’. At the launch event, gave a speech on road safety.
Salman said that he sees a lot of men indulging in rash driving which leads to road rage. He further added that people should use the racing tracks if they want to race and should leave other roads for travelling.
“I think cycles are okay but motorcycles are really dangerous for them (youngsters) and for other people around as well. We shoot in Film City so I see on the highway people racing recklessly. Earlier there used to be races at the (Bandra) reclamation (where) I lost a friend of mine. I am against that. If you want to race, do that on the racing tracks. Don’t use main roads,” Salman Khan had said.
However, the road safety measures suggested by Salman Khan, who was accused of crushing a man to death and injuring four others under the wheels of his Toyota Land Cruiser in 2002 in Mumbai, have not gone down well with Twitterati. Calling it an irony, they trolled him
Salman Khan lecturing on “road rage” is like Vijay Mallya giving a TED talk on “how to repay your debts on time.”
